“It is a fair, even-handed, noble adjustment of things, that while there is infection in disease and sorrow, there is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humour.”
― Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol
Manifesting at the end of your bed like the ghost of Christmas Yet To Come, the Corehammer Charity Xmas Bash returns! This year Mantic Games in Nottingham are very kindly playing host to our ragged band of Hammerheads, Dungeon Punks and assorted Scallywags.
There’s no stipulation on what you can or cannot play. Just put your fiver in the bucket and do as you feel. We also ask that attendees chuck a tin of non perishable grub in the kitty too. No, we’re not bringing back the school Harvest Festival smart arse. But events like this are a great opportunity to help out those less fortunate and if we can get a decent contribution together for the local food bank whilst doing our thing, well it’s no hardship to be nice is it?
We have had christmas do’s at Warhammer World and Wargames Foundry in the past. The atmosphere is always buzzing and it’s a great opportunity to roll some dice with like minded souls, have a few laughs, check out some new games and enjoy a little fellowship.
We’ll be hosting the usual single figure challenge (details soon), we’ll have a dedicated Wild In the Streets table, all round ‘top bloke’ Andy Mantic will be running some Walking Dead – All Out War sessions, I’ll be bullying you to get involved in the notorious Corehammer raffle, there’ll probably be pizza and there might even be cake! Brinton from California is coming and if we can get a screen set up, I’ll be showing No Retreat No Surrender on repeat all day. Not even joking.
All moneys raised from attendance and the raffle will be donated to support the good work of the folk down at St Mary’s SARC.
Oooooohhhhhhh gonna see if i can get a pass from life to come to this, if nothing else its always fun to wind the mantic guys up
Good luck with that 😉
